Avoiding the problems of the regular commute, working from home is becoming increasingly popular. This does not mean there is a relaxing period ahead when it’s a little bit of work and a lot of play because then you will not earn enough.

Try and understand that this job does not have the same feeling of safety that an office job might provide. You can make it a success and be totally independent only if you slog and are disciplined.

Many hope to make a kill of easy, quick money and are attracted to the well touted, ‘get rich fast’ offers that abound. Some of these do really work, but rarely enough to justify the hype that normally surrounds the sales pitch each person receives.

Surveys and data entry are some of the common ones in this category; both of these do have some that pay out although many do not keep their promises. No one has yet become rich by just sitting around and having a great time at home, punctuating the day with a few surveys or data entry jobs.

This kind of work is unsuitable for a person wishing to earn from home regularly. It’s certainly not the case that these are all scams, but scams do exist in this field, so be wary

Writing articles is a good way to go if you are good at writing; here of course, you can expect to earn according to how well you write. Most often when you start you will be providing your services to those who sell your efforts to others. This is why you cannot expect to earn a great deal, unless of course you get lucky; the average payment is for a 500 word article so if you work hard, you will only just manage on this.

One way to go is to start writing for yourself and maybe sell your articles as PLR articles. The basic idea is to write a number of maybe ten articles on a certain theme and then sell them to a limited number of people at a reduced price. You could make 100s of dollars on ten articles by selling them to thirty people at a batch; this would be a lot more than you would earn if you have sold each at $5.00 for one article.

To be able to earn good money, while working out of the home, it has to be steady and regular and one has to work at it. It probably won’t be easy at first, but after you have ironed out all the kinks and streamlined the process, you shouldn’t have too much trouble. Then you might put together your own team of writers and get work done from them – this is the way to go to start making more money.
